As I mentioned before, the skeleton of the LUT is becoming more and more populated. Two 'fear parts' are now also in the box - the pivot of the swing arms, affectionately called 'hinge', and their bearings, when they are aligned parallel to side 1 in their retracted state.

For both I had only one schematic drawing without measurements, which fortunately could be traced by razor-sharp conclusions, guessing and questioning a licensed fortune teller.

But the momentum of the first enthusiasm is by no means lost, and our turret is already relatively detailed up to level 100.

Service arm hinge and bearing

Service arm hinge and bearing.

The bearing with locking mechanism in the foreground. Its almost abnormal complexity measured against its rather simple function is a bit surprising. Imagine for one moment, Porsche would have designed this part - it would have been half the fun.

LOX valve complex

LOX valve complex at Level 30

On level 30 there is another pearl - the LOX valve complex - a kind of distributor for the liquid oxygen and therefore probably not uncritical. Smoking was probably forbidden here already in the 60s.

The Cable trays

Assembling the thing will probably take a couple of weekends - but whoever has mastered the crawler won't be shaken anyway ;)
